THE STORY OF ARTEKATIE
Hi, I am Katie - the one and only person behind arteKatie Handmade, although I can be seen in many roles ;) I am Polish, but I live in London.
I have been making handmade cards for over 25 years using collage and mixed media techniques.
I started by making my own Christmas cards for my family and friends using coffee beans, corn seeds, cork, tissue paper, natural elements, and velvet embellishments I could find in haberdashery, as my mum is a seamstress.
Through the years, I added to my stash scrapbooking papers, die cutting machine, embossing folders and all kind of paints as I become the graphic and digital designer.
Every card is genuinely handmade, and they are unique creations.
I take every opportunity to prepare the paper die cuts and backgrounds no matter where I am - at the airport, in the pub, on holidays, or while making the pancakes ;)
My biggest love is undeniably die cutting, making paper animals & flowers.
